The Flaming Lips launched their highly anticipated Summer Freak Out!!! at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre with an electrifying rendition of their iconic 2002 album,Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. The first night of this two-night extravaganza on August 30, 2024, saw the band diving deep into the album’s eclectic blend of psychedelia and pop, delighting fans with a complete live performance.
“The Soft Bulletin” turns 25 — Celebrating with a Zoetrope Vinyl Edition
The Flaming Lips will celebrate 25 years of their seminal 1999 album, The Soft Bulletin, with the brand new The Soft Bulletin 25th Anniversary Vinyl out September 6. It will be available in limited-edition 2LP Vinyl with stunning Zoetrope designs notably co-created by Drew Tetz and band frontman Wayne Coyne. Plus, it boasts brand new sleeve artwork in addition to an insert with text penned by Wayne.

Today, The Flaming Lips share new North American tour dates and extend their already stacked 2024 schedule. These shows will once again see the band deliver a full performance of their 2002 groundbreaking, Gold-certified Warner Records album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots in its entirety, continuing to honor over two decades of this creative and critical career high watermark. The Flaming Lips “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots” 20th-Anniversary CD Box Set is Available Now
Today, The Flaming Lips celebrate the 20th-anniversary of their classic 2002 album, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, with the release of an expansive box set that also includes B-sides, demos, remixes, radio sessions, two concerts, and other assorted rarities from the era. The CD set includes over 50 tracks never released and dozens of rare tracks. The LP box set has 40 tracks never released on vinyl and over 30 previously unreleased tracks. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots: 20th Anniversary Edition will be available, via Warner Records, on all streaming services and as a 6 CD box set (featuring 100 tracks) on November 25 to mark the 20th anniversary year.

Today, the Minneapolis-based Night Moves release The Redaction EP, a short cinematic collage, harmoniously shaped together to create an EP that seamlessly blends psychedelia with a classic cozy twang. With legendary producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Horsegirl, Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr.), who also worked on Night Moves’ Pennied Days, lending a hand, the resulting songs prove the bands evolution as songwriters, still trading in massive pop hooks that manage to convey yearning melancholy with a sense of maturity and perspective.
